DeGroot (left) has been with Woodward for his entire radio career, starting in 2014 as a board op, and has worked his way up the ladder to producer and host on Sports-Talk WSCO (1570 The Score) which has FM repeaters in Appleton (95.3) and Oshkosh (99.1). He has served as Brand Manager of WSCO and News-Talk 1150 WHBY since April 2022. “Leading the entire portfolio of Woodward Community Media stations in Northeast Wisconsin is a significant honor,” said DeGroot. “I’m committed to working with our talented local teams to continue delivering relevant content and strengthening our connection with the community.”

DeGroot will succeed former Appleton-Oshkosh-Green Bay Market Manager Kelly Radandt (right), who last November was promoted to the newly created position of Director of Broadcast. In her newly enhanced role, Radandt will oversee operations in Appleton-Oshkosh-Green Bay as well as the company’s recently acquired group in Springfield, IL comprised of former Neuhoff and Mid-West Family stations, effective July 1. DeGroot and Springfield Market Manager Kevin O’Dea will report to Radandt.

“This expanded role presents a unique opportunity to unify our broadcast efforts and innovate across markets,” Radandt commented. “I’m eager to contribute to Woodward Community Media’s continued success and evolution. Onward!”

Tom Woodward, Pres. & CEO of WCI, said, “These promotions reflect our commitment to developing strong leadership within Woodward Community Media. Kelly and B.J. have consistently shown strong leadership and dedication. We expect their new roles to drive continued success for our broadcast divisions and reinforce our standing as a leading media organization in the communities we serve.”
