Katz Media Group has elevated Mark Gray from President, to Chief Executive Officer, overseeing both Katz’s radio and television companies. In his new role as CEO, Gray will also further develop Katz’s technology and digital offerings, including bringing Katz to the forefront of the programmatic buying arena through Expressway from Katz, the first industry-wide programmatic ad buying exchange for broadcast radio. “Mark has been a trusted partner for Katz’s clients as well as an industry leader for many years, and we know he will continue to both successfully advocate for radio and TV and build their presence with major advertisers and agencies across the country,” said Rich Bressler, President, COO and CFO of iHeartMedia, Inc.
Gray’s tenure with Katz has included various management roles, including President of the Katz Radio division before being promoted to President of Katz Radio Group in 2006. Commenting on his expanded role, Gray said, “Katz is a longtime leader in the media industry, known for its exceptional sales team and their unparalleled ability to provide innovative expertise in audio and television solutions. I’m both honored and excited to take on this role, and I look forward to continuing to help drive revenue and advocacy for our broadcast partners.”
Gray succeeds current CEO Mark Rosenthal, who recently announced his decision to step down at the end of March. Rosenthal will remain an advisor to Bressler and iHeartMedia, Inc. CEO Bob Pittman.
