Howard Comes Home To WBEB
• Shortly after Entercom closed on its $57.5 million acquisition of heritage AC WBEB (Today’s 101.1 MORE FM)/Philadelphia, the company announced the appointment of Blaise Howard as General Sales Manager, effective October 1. The move is a true radio homecoming for Howard, who previously spent 18 years as VP/GM of WBEB under previous owner Jerry Lee, where he consistently maintained WBEB’s status as one of the top-rated and top revenue-producing stations in the Philadelphia market.
“We are thrilled to bring Blaise back to WBEB as the station formally joins the Entercom family,” said David Yadgaroff, SVP/Market Manager, Entercom Philadelphia. “For decades, Blaise led WBEB’s sales strategy and success. He’s the perfect candidate to lead the station’s multi-platform sales effort.”
Prior to his original tenure at WBEB, Howard helped launched Group W News-Talk KPIX/San Francisco. He also spent seven years at Philly’s KYW Newsradio. Commenting on his return, Howard said, “I can’t wait to start this new chapter with Entercom, and be a part of the team led by Dave Scopinichand David Yadgaroff. I’m excited to take a step forward with a company so positive about our industry, and so committed to the growth of Radio.”
