Jones Named Pres., SummitMedia Greenville

• SummitMedia, LLC announced the hire of George Jones as the new President SummitMedia Greenville-Spartanburg, SC, where he will oversee Urban AC WJMZ (107.3 Jamz), Rhythmic Top 40 WHZT (Hot 98.1), Alternative X98.5 (WJMZ-HD2), ’80s Hits Awesome 99.5 (WJMZ-HD3) and the WHZT simulcast on WJMZ-HD4.

Jones arrives in South Carolina coming off of a long radio career in Detroit, which includes his most recent stint as GSM with Beasley Media Group, 15 years as GSM with Radio One and an early 2000’s AE run with Clear Channel. Along with his management experience, Jones also has a long history of digital strategy, advertising and integrated marketing.
