Loftus Retires From Times-Shamrock

• Times-Shamrock Communications last week announced a major change atop its leadership pyramid, as Jim Loftus made his retirement official after serving as CEO for the past 18 months. Board member Diane Sutter has been named as Acting CEO, while CFO Scott Brickel adds Chief Operating Officer stripes.

Loftus (left), former Chief Operating Officer of Seven Mountains Media, was named CEO of Times-Shamrock on Jan. 1, 2024, succeeding Jim Lewandowski, who stepped down on Dec. 31, 2023 after nearly a decade of service. Loftus arrived equipped with a working familiarity of the Times-Shamrock system, having formerly served as COO of the company from 1997-2005.

Prior to joining Seven Mountains in Oct. 2018, Loftus was Pres. & CEO of WBEB/Philadelphia. Before that he spent a decade with CBS Radio Philadelphia, rising to GM of Classic Hits WOGL and Director of Sales for the cluster. In addition to his nine years as COO of Times-Shamrock, Loftus also held management positions with Lin Broadcasting and Susquehanna.

Sutter has served as Pres. & CEO of Encino, CA-based ShootingStar Broadcasting since 1996 and has been a member of the Times-Shamrock board since Sept. 2021.
