Mr. Master Ups Laing, Adds Nadel
• Mr. Master, the leading provider of workflow optimization software for the radio industry, announced two executive appointments — Maria Laing has been promoted to Senior Vice President, and Roger Nadel has joined the company as Executive Director of Affiliate Sales.
In these newly created positions, Laing (left) will play a key role in Mr. Master’s overall growth, driving innovative initiatives and business opportunities for the company, while Nadel (right) will be responsible for enhancing the affiliation strategy for Mr. Master’s Automation Import Manager (AIM) software and servicing its 3500 affiliates. Laing and Nadel are both based at the company headquarters in Agoura Hills, CA.

Laing has been with Mr. Master for 18 years. During her tenure, she spearheaded the creation of accountability standards for the terrestrial broadcast audio industry and played a pivotal role in the development of Mr. Master’s MediaShooterPro and AIM software. Laing’s extensive industry background includes radio syndication and a five-year stint as VP of Entertainment Radio Networks. “I’m very proud of the work we’ve done at Mr. Master,” Laing remarked. “Over nearly two decades we’ve revolutionized commercial automation and our partners and peers recognize our efforts. Nadel was most recently Senior Vice President/Affiliate Services for iHeartMedia’s Total Traffic Network. His previous career highlights include 25+ years with CBS Radio, including 11 years managing WWJ-AM& WYST-FM/Detroit and KFWB/Los Angeles. That was followed by a year as Executive Editor at the late, great R&R and two years managing Sporting News Radio’s KMPC/Los Angeles. “I’m a big believer in using the right tool for the right job,” Nadel said. “In an environment where staff sizes are shrinking and workloads are increasing, Mr. Master’s AIM software offers a toolkit that solves problems, creates efficiencies and increases revenue for broadcasters.
