Radio For Fun… And Profit
“Our success boils down to the quality of our team across the province, and our commitment to our advertising partners and our listeners,” says Jon Pole, President of MBC. “We’ve had strong performance in Ontario, and our expectation is that we will continue to grow. We have geographically positioned our stations to maximize synergies and be positioned as market leaders,” He added, “I can’t wait to see what we can accomplish in the next 365 days.” Deborah Aarts, Profit 500 Program Manager commented, “This year’s winners demonstrate the resilience, innovation and sheer management smarts it takes to build a thriving business today. Canada — and the world — needs more entrepreneurial success stories like these.”
MBC recently launched a second FM service in Norfolk County, and the first local service for Milton, Ontario. In November, The Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) will consider an application for a new service for Georgina, Ontario. Launched in 2004, MBC now operates radio and web portals in 21 markets across Ontario.
