Robb Rose’s New Mantra: ‘Always Be Closing’
• After more than three decades in the programming department, Robb Rose has made the transition down the hall to the sales side, joining Cumulus Mid-Missouri, serving Columbia-Jefferson City, as an Account Exec.
Rose most recently programmed Zimmer Country duo KCLR (Clear 99) and KATI (94.3 Kat Country)/Columbia, MO until last December. Rose earlier spent two years as Director of Content for Townsquare’s five-station group in Midland-Odessa, TX and Brand Manager of KNFM (Lonestar 92).
Rose is a Chicago native and Columbia College graduate who got his first radio break at B96. He later did nights at Hubbard AC WSHE (100.3 SHE)/Chicago before being named as the local producer for the syndicated Brooke & Jeffrey morning show.
“The goal is to one day sit in the big chair and be Market Manager, and ya can’t do that effectively until you have a solid understanding of both sides of the hallway,” says Rose (pictured here with Country star Lainey Wilson). “As the saying goes, ‘If you’re going to tell me how to do my job, you should know how to do my job.’ I’m excited to get going with the great team at Cumulus in Mid-Missouri!”
