Shecterle Named VP/MM, CMG San Antonio

• Cox Media Group (CMG) has named company veteran Mark Shecterle as the new VP/Market Manager of CMG San Antonio Radio, effective Feb. 24. He will succeed David Abel, who was recently named VP/Market Manager of CMG Atlanta Radio.

Shecterle is a 37-year industry veteran who earns the transfer and market upgrade from his current role as VP/Market Manager at CMG Tulsa Radio.

“Mark is an impactful leader with a strong track record of building and developing great teams, serving the community, and delivering results for clients and CMG,” said Rob Babin, EVP of CMG Radio. “His background and experience make him a perfect match for CMG San Antonio’s high-performing team.”

Prior to joining CMG Tulsa two years ago, Shecterle spent five years as Market Manager of NRG Media’s Omaha group, and served as VP of Sales for United States Traffic Network, South. Shecterle started his career with Susquehanna Radio Houston, notably spending 18 years with KRBE, rising from the promotions department to VP/GM, exiting in May 2006 shortly before the sale from Susquehanna to Cumulus closed. He later served as Director of Sales for Westwood One, Total Traffic and Weather Network and Radio One Houston.
