Thomas Named OM, 7 Mtns Altoona & Johnstown
• Seven Mountains Media is excited to announce the appointment of veteran programmer Dan Thomas as Operations Manager, overseeing the dual markets of Altoona and Johnstown, PA. The new gig marks a return to the Lower 48 for Thomas, who for the past six years has worked for iHeartMedia Anchorage as an Account Executive.
The announcement was made by JC Burton, Seven Mountains’ Chief Programming Officer, who said, “We’re thrilled to welcome Dan Thomas as Operations Manager for Altoona and Johnstown. Dan’s relentless work ethic, diverse experience, and passion for radio make him the perfect fit for this role. His journey through the industry has shaped him into a true leader. We’re excited to see the impact he’ll make in our stations and communities.”
Thomas’ radio career includes a prior 15-year stretch in the Anchorage market from 1995-2010, where he worked for Alaska Integrated Media, Ohana, Tati, Clear Channel, Morris and Pioneer. He was later named OM for Results Radio’s four-station cluster in Chico, CA, and Townsquare’s group in Grand Junction, CO. He also programmed Lotus Classic Rock KKBZ (105.1 The Blaze)/Fresno. Earlier in his career Thomas worked for Entercom in Houston and Shamrock in Milwaukee.
In April 2019 Thomas returned to iHeart Anchorage as an Account Executive, where he worked closely with retired Market Manager Andy Lohman and current Market Manager Kim Williams.
Thomas remarked, “I’ve long admired Seven Mountains Media’s commitment to live, local radio and their dedication to serving communities, clients, and listeners. The choice was easy after meeting with Market Manager Bobbie Castellucci and Chief Programming Officer JC Burton. Their leadership shines bright, and they have built a highly successful group of stations. I look forward to contributing to the growth of these properties alongside such a talented team and continuing to deliver exceptional radio experiences to our audience.”
