Walet Upped To Area Pres., iHeart NE/IA
• iHeartMedia just announced that Taylor Walet has been elevated to Area President of the company’s Nebraska-Iowa area, which encompasses 36+ stations.
In his newly enhanced position, Walet will be responsible for all operations across the Des Moines, Cedar Rapids and Davenport, Iowa markets while continuing to oversee the Sioux City, Omaha, and Ogallala markets, in the Nebraska area.
Walet will continue to report to Division President Shosh Abromovich, who remarked, “We have an exceptional team of talent and leaders throughout the states of Nebraska and Iowa. The synergy of this new Area will help drive additional cohesion and shared success. Taylor’s leadership skills, focus on a collaborative and winning culture, along with attention to our local communities, will drive more success across these six markets.”
Walet joined iHeartMedia in 2007 as Market President for iHeartMedia Omaha. Before that he served as a VP for the National Division of Jacor Communications, managing over 40 radio stations in seven markets until iHeartMedia acquired the company. Walet earlier served as a Director of Sales for Radio One and a Market Manager for Citadel, along with several other leadership roles across the industry.
Commenting on his enlarged portfolio, Walet remarked, “I’m very excited to partner with Joel McCrae and the rest of our iHeartMedia Iowa leadership team to take advantage of the strengths that Iowa and Nebraska can maximize by working together.” [Photo from LinkedIn]
