Weber To Run Albany Broadcasting Albany
• Albany Broadcasting has named Jeff Weber as the new Market Manager of its six-station group in Albany, NY. He succeeds A.J. Bodden, who left in May and transitioned to the television side with Sinclair Albany.
Weber segues from LM Communications in Charleston, SC where he was General Sales Manager of Active Rock WYBB (98 Rock) and Triple A WCOO (105.5 The Bridge). His previous experience includes sales management positions in Baltimore and Indianapolis and EVP and later, President of a national media company. The new gig marks a return to the Albany market for Weber, who worked there as a GM in the ’90s.
In making the announcement, Steve Borneman, Chief Operating Office of Pamal Broadcasting said, “Jeff has tremendous experience in radio and he has a local connection to Albany which makes him the perfect choice; we’re thrilled to have him.” Weber commented, “Having worked in the Albany market before, I’m well aware of the excellent reputation and record of success these stations have. The staff is dedicated to providing excellence in programming and service to our clients. Our owner continues to make a significant commitment to the communities we serve and to be a leader in the industry with innovative and creative strategies.” Weber can now be reached at jweber@pamal.com.
