Always Count On Country
• Entercom yesterday announced a special philanthropic, commercial-free programming feature — Count on Country is scheduled to air at 12-noon local time on November 28 — dubbed “Giving Tuesday.” The syndicated one-hour show will be hosted by Country duo Big & Rich and will focus on stories surrounding the tragic Route 91 Harvest Festival in Las Vegas while continuing to aid the healing process. Within the commercial-free programming block and digital exclusives, artists will encourage donations to the Las Vegas Victims’ Fund.
Pat Paxton, Entercom President of Programming, said, “When the unthinkable happens, people come together. We come together to heal, to grow, to cry, to remember, and most importantly, to help each other. It is in this spirit that we present Count on Country, a remarkable collection of music, commentary and reflection surrounding the Route 91 Harvest Festival tragedy.”
In a statement, Big & Rich said, “Country music fans are some of the greatest people in the world. They’re the ones you count on in the toughest of times. We are truly thankful to be your hosts for Count On Country, and playing an integral role in bringing our community together to give back.”
Count on Country will air on these fine Entercom Country stations: WUSN/Chicago, WYCD/Detroit, WPAW/Greensboro, KILT-FM/Houston, WDAF/Kansas City, WLFP/Memphis, WKIS/Miami, KMNB/Minneapolis, WXTU/Philadelphia, KMLE/Phoenix, WDSY/Pittsburgh, KWJJ/Portland, KFRG & KXFG/Riverside, WBEE/Rochester, KSON/San Diego, KMPS & KKWF/Seattle and WGGY/Wilkes-Barre.
