Bomb Set To Blow Up
Cumulus Media has launched Afternoons With Adam Bomb on Top 40 WWWQ (Q100)/Atlanta. Mr. Bomb has done nights on Q100 since 2006 and assumed his new pm drive spot on Monday, January 16. He will continue to host his Westwood One-syndicated The Adam Bomb Show, now heard in 30 U.S. markets. The Q100 afternoon shift was most recently occupied by Johnny O’Leary, a.k.a. “Johnny O,” who was recently named PD of Top 40 sibling WSSX (95SX)/Charleston, SC.
In making the announcement, Q100 OM/PD Louie Diaz said, “Adam’s local involvement with Atlanta schools and his popularity with Q100 listeners at night made him the perfect choice to drive Atlanta home every afternoon on Q100. We have a lot of great stuff in mind for afternoons on Q100, so get ready to be entertained!” Bomb commented, “I gotta thank Mike McVay, Sean Shannon and Louie Diaz for the faith and opportunity to stay at Q100, a place I’m so passionate about, in a city I love! This is one of the best jobs in radio and I’m proud to bring everything we did at night to afternoons in Atlanta.”
Adam’s elevation into the afternoon slot now opens a prime nighttime opportunity on Q100. Interested candidates are invited to send their packages to Louie Diaz at louie.diaz@cumulus.com.
