PK & DK Wake Up In Denver
• Major market veterans PK and Denise Kalentzis debuted Thursday morning on Max Media Top 40 KFCO (Hot 107.1)/Denver, which will serve as the flagship station for the show’s burgeoning syndication effort. The PK and DK Show, which features their longtime co-host, Duryan Smith, is being offered as a content-only program, best-suited for Top 40, Rhythm and Hot AC stations. PK and DK most recently hosted mornings together at iHeartMedia Top 40 WWPW (Power 96.1)/Atlanta from 2016 until last November. PK previously anchored the syndicated Playhouse morning show based at KXJM (Jammin 95.5)/Portland from 2001-2009 before moving to former CBS Radio Top 40 KKHH (Hot 95.7)/Houston from 2010-2015. Denise and Duryan both worked on the Playhouse before reuniting with PK in Atlanta. “We are extremely excited to be in the Mile-High City and can’t wait for the audience to laugh with us,” said PK.
Max Media Denver President/Market Manager Jeff Norman added “I’ve been a big fan of PK’s for years and am happy to have him on the air in Denver.” Hot 107.1 PD Senen “Slim” Rodriguez remarked, “I’ve loved PK ever since he was in Portland and am very excited to work with him.”
The PK & DK Show is delivered via Synchonicity and is content-only, allowing stations to program their own music. The show also is offering customized hourly local station breaks as well as teases designed to roll over song intros to keep the music rolling on affiliate stations.
