Vic The Brick… Feeling YOU!

Benztown is bringing the distinctive voice and colorful mannerisms of radio and television sportscaster Vic “The Brick” Jacobs to radio stations across America in a 30-second daily feature, This Day in Sports History, which will be available through Benztown’s Adrenaline Sports imaging library.

A native of Queens, NY, Jacobs (pictured here with Dodgers star Yasiel Puig) has been a sports broadcaster since 1979 in Austin, Fresno, Phoenix, and most notably, Los Angeles, where he landed in the early ’90s as a sports anchor on KCOP-TV and for Rick Dees In the Morning on KIIS-FM. In 1997, he helped launch the new sports-talk format as the midday host on KXTA-AM 1150 (now KEIB). He later went on to host with NBA superstar Karl Malone and NFL Hall of Famer Terry Bradshaw. Vic “The Brick” is also known and loved for his popular catchphrase, “Feeling You!” — a cry of allegiance with diehard L.A. sports fans.

Dave “Chachi” Denes, Benztown President, said, “Vic was one of the very first people to welcome me to L.A. when I moved here 18 years ago. His warmth and authenticity instantly endeared me to him. He is the same person on-air as he his in real life and that’s why I think he’s a star. We’re excited to have him as the voice of This Day in Sports History, which comes free of charge on a daily basis to all of our Adrenaline library affiliates.” Jacobs remarked, “Sports fans… Feeling You! Honored and humbled to be in this mighty mix of el gigante audio dynamite.”
