Wake Up With ‘Brooke & [Not] Jubal’
• Hubbard Top 40 KQMV (MOViN 92.5)/Seattle, the longtime flagship of the Premiere-syndicated Brooke & Jubal in The Morning announced a significant change in personnel and a show rebranding — it’s now Brooke & Jeffrey in the Morning, featuring existing cast members Brooke Fox, “Young Jeffrey” Dubow and Jose Bolanos. According to various media reports, now former co-host Jubal Fresh has reportedly been M.I.A. from the show since early January.
The core group of the show remains intact — Brooke Fox (center) previously hosted Top 40 radio’s first all-female morning show at KZZU/Spokane and was MD/morning co-host at KKRZ/Portland before joining KQMV/Seattle. Executive Producer “Young Jeffrey” Dubow (right) has taken on a more active on-air role on Brooke & Jubal in the Morning over the past six months and is best known for his parody songs, which he performs LIVE on the show every Friday morning. Jose Bolanos (left) is a national touring stand-up comedian who has worked alongside Brooke and Jeffrey for the past eight years.
And after a four-month hiatus, Steve Boyd rejoins the show — he’s a Marconi Award-winning executive producer who not only launched the original Brooke & Jubal in the Morning but also helped elevate it into national syndication.
“We’re very excited about the new show,” says Scott Mahalick, interim Market Manager for Hubbard Radio Seattle. “It is always our highest priority to provide outstanding and engaging entertainment for our listeners.” MOViN 92.5 Brand & Content Director Ricky Villa says benchmark bits like “Second Date Update” and the infamous “Phone Taps” will continue to be a part of the show, which will officially debut on Monday, April 20 and will continue to be offered in syndication through Premiere Networks.
