Kemp Broadcasting Making Moves
• Las Vegas-based Kemp Broadcasting shared two fairly sizeable announcements yesterday — first and foremost, Kemp Broadcasting and KCI Billboards are merging their assets and will now become Kemp Broadcasting & Digital Outdoor. The company currently operates 20 billboards, two of which are now digital and are prominently located on Sahara Avenue between Las Vegas Blvd. and Paradise Rd. The billboard division plans to add three additional digital boards by the end of the year.
Marty Basch, EVP/GM of Kemp Broadcasting remarked, “With the integration of our radio and billboard divisions, advertisers will now have the opportunity to work with one company in the Las Vegas market that runs both radio and billboards cohesively under a single staff to help simplify a client’s advertising needs.”
Now, the rest of the news — beginning March 1, Sports-Talk KMZQ-AM will flip to Talk. As you can probably guess from its new slogan, “The Right Talk for Las Vegas,” the station will feature a syndicated conservative talk lineup (Mike Gallagher, Dennis Prager, Michael Medved, Larry Elder, Jim Bohannon, etc.). The Kemp cluster also includes Rhythmic KVEG (Hot 97-5) and Hot AC KVGQ (106.9 The Q).
