• After 14 months spent honing his craft in nights at iHeartMedia Top 40 KSLZ (Z107.7)/St. Louis, Jacob “Tight Pants” Bowling is returning home to Wichita sporting a nice promotion — he’s the new APD/MD and afternoon personality at KTHR (ALT 107.3), Wichita’s Alternative Rock, effective November 20. Mr. Pants (left) had been tracking the pm drive show at ALT and will now do the shift live weekdays from 2-7pm. He will report to Jim Dorman, SVP of Programming for iHeartMedia Wichita, who said, “We are very excited at what Tight Pants will be bringing to Wichita. His work ethic and passion for music is second to none and I’m looking forward to working with him on ALT 107.3. He truly deserves this promotion.”

Bowling is a graduate of Wichita State University who began his radio career with as a Promotions Assistant with iHeartMedia Wichita and rose through the ranks. He was doing nights on Top 40 KZCH (Channel 96.3)/Wichita until last fall, when he accepted the big transfer to St. Louis.

“I’ve had an amazing experience in St. Louis — I’ve learned and grown so much, but Wichita is home,” said Bowling, who will continue to track nights on sister KKDM (107.5 Kiss FM)/Des Moines, IA. “I’m excited to return and have a larger impact, and continue to grow professionally. I’ve been fortunate to have people who believe in me and continue to push me, and I can’t thank them enough.”
