Mason & Remy Bid Farewell To St. Louis

Mason Remy AlabamaIt’s the end of a successful run with iHeartMedia St. Louis, as RAMP has learned that Mason & Remy are relinquishing their afternoon shift on KSD (93.7 The Bull)/St. Louis. The duo, along with co-host Alabama, will now focus all of their attention on their two-year-old morning show on sister WEBG (Big 95.5)/Chicago. Mason Schreader and his co-host Remy broke the news to their longtime St. Louis fans in a video message.

Mason and Remy first met while working in Bloomington, IL earlier in their careers. They got their big career break in 2010 when they were hired to do mornings on The Bull, later moving to afternoons when the station picked up the Premiere-syndicated Bobby Bones Show. In January of 2015, KSD PD Steve Stewart was named PD of Big 95.5/Chicago, and shortly thereafter tapped Mason & Remy to come join him and do mornings there. Since then they’ve been juggling shows in two markets — until last Friday.

RAMP reached out to A.J., SVP of Programming for iHeartMedia St. Louis, who explained it was “a group management decision” to end Mason & Remy’s afternoon show on KSD. Speaking of Mason and Remy, A.J. said, “They got their start here, they made their name here, but we wanted to allow them to be able to be 100% focused on their morning show in Chicago. They’ve done an incredible job growing with the company and will continue to be morning superstars in Chicago just as they were here in St. Louis.” Looking ahead, A.J. said, “We’re now very excited to be able to highlight out best local talent, Dusty, who will move to PM drive effective today.”
