Moving Day In San Diego

This morning, as dawn breaks over San Diego, iHeartMedia Rhythmic KSSX (Jam’n 95.7)/San Diego proudly unwraps its revamped weekday jock lineup. The most prominent changes occur in both drivetime shifts, as current APD/MD/afternoon personality Frankie “V” Vinci (left) moves up to become morning co-host, swapping shifts with Pablo Sato and creating the new Frankie & Tati In The Morning show with existing co-host Tati Pelegreen (center). New to middays is company vet Nina Chantele (right), who will perform the shift live from her home base at sister KRRL (Real 92.3)/Los Angeles. Chantele replaces Mercedes “Ya Girl Cedes” Howard, who last month was named co-host of the new morning show on Entercom Rhythmic KQKS (KS107.5)/Denver.

As we casually mentioned about seven seconds ago, former morning co-host Pablo Sato (below left) will now drive you home from 3-7pm, followed by Beto Perez (below, right), who remains in the 7-midnight shift. Interestingly, these moves mark the end of the lengthy on-air partnership of Pablo and Tati, both Honolulu natives who previously did mornings together on crosstown XHTZ (Z90) and at WPGC/Washington before returning to San Diego when Jam’n launched in May 2016.

Here now to tell us more is the famous Rob Scorpio, SVP of Programming for iHeartMedia San Diego/Riverside, who remarked, “In the last year Jam’n 95.7 has experienced significant growth, but with Frankie and Tati in mornings, Nina in middays and Pablo in afternoons we expect to take over the market!”
