Nielsen Executive Action

• Nielsen Music has reorganized its radio team “with the aim of better serving the radio communities in both the U.S. and Canada,” according to the press release. Scott Musgrave has joined Nielsen Music as its U.S. Head of Radio Client Solutions, while Paul Shaver, VP/Head of Nielsen Music Canada, will enjoy an expanded role.

Musgrave (left) will focus on further developing the radio business for Nielsen, bringing a renewed emphasis on creating relationships throughout the broader radio ecosystem, including record label promo teams across the United States. Musgrave previously spent 17 years at Arbitron, nine of those as VP of Sales and SVP/GM of the radio station business.

Shaver (right) has over 25 years of music industry experience, including a stint as VP of Radio Promotion for Virgin Records & EMI/Capitol Records. He will now see his role expand in leading the radio business in the highly important Canadian music market. Together, Musgrave and Shaver will collaborate with the product development team to build on the success of recent BDSradio and Music Connect enhancements.

• As we recently reported, our friend and former colleague Stephanie Friedman is leaving her position as VP of Radio for Nielsen Entertainment at the end of the year due to restructuring. She can be contacted at stephaniefriedman3@gmail.com.
