Miller Doubles Up In Toledo
• iHeartMedia Toledo, OH has hired Scott Miller to fill the dual roles of PD of AC WRVF (101.5 The River) and afternoon drive personality on Mainstream Rock 104.7 WIOT, effective Dec. 4. Miller (left) arrives sporting a 30-year track record with CBS Radio, Cumulus and iHeartMedia.
In a staff memo, SVP of Programming Scott Sands explained, “The bulk of Scott’s experience comes from two stints at CBS-owned WDOK/Cleveland, where he was part of the team that flipped the station from beautiful music to AC as Soft Rock 102.1. As PD from 2000-2008, he guided WDOK to 45 continuous No. 1 books with Women 18+ — remarkable, considering there are four other AC stations in the market! He then transitioned to co-owned Classic Rock WNCX/Cleveland as morning co-host, where he took the morning show from near the bottom to No. 1 2ith Men 18+ & Men 18-34 by the end of 2010.”
The move marks a return to radio for Miller, who spent the past five years as Regional Brand Manager for Harley Davidson while serving as a regular fill-in talent on iHeartMedia News-Talk WTAM-AM. His assignment as PD of The River takes some of the programming load off of Sands, while over on WIOT, Miller succeeds former afternoon talent Keith Kramer, who recently relocated to Florida as PD of Magic Broadcasting Talk duo WYOO/Panama City Beach and WVFT (Freedom 93.3)/Tallahassee.
