Biddle Comes Home To WQDR/Raleigh
• Mike Biddle has come home to Curtis Media Group Raleigh as the new PD of Country WQDR. He succeeds his mentor Lisa McKay (left), who passed away last month after a brief illness.
The move marks a true radio return for Biddle, who got his radio start with McKay at WRVQ in his hometown of Richmond, VA, and joined WQDR in 2002 as APD/MD before leaving to accept his first PD post at Inner Banks Media Country WRHT/WRHD/Greenville-New Bern, NC. In 2010, he returned to Curtis Media Raleigh, this time as PD of Top 40 sister WWPL/WPLW (96.9/102.5 Pulse FM). After a six-year run, Biddle left the company in 2016 to become Operations Manager at Heart+Hammer, a digital marketing and strategy agency based in Raleigh. And now he’s home.
