McIntyre So Presidential @ Roc Nation

• Phil McIntyre, who manages Nick Jonas, Demi Lovato, DNCE, Iggy Azalea and The Band Perry, among others, has been named President of Management at Roc Nation, the entertainment firm founded by Jay-Z, and which represents Rihanna, DJ Khaled, Mariah Carey, J. Cole and many other recording artists, personalities and sports stars

That’s the word from Variety, which reports McIntyre’s newly created appointment was announced by Roc Nation CEO and co-Founder Jay Brown. The Variety story says rumblings had been circulating in recent weeks that McIntyre, who currently serves as an Executive Producer on American Idol, and whose management firm Philymack has been partnered with Roc Nation since 2015, was headed to a senior role involving Roc Nation’s management arm, which counts over 24 acts on its roster.

Roc Nation recently took on Miguel, Robin Thicke and Elle King, along with their respective managers, following the dissolution of CAM, the management firm founded by Jordan Feldstein, who died in December. McIntyre’s new responsibilities will include working with Roc Nation’s “house managers to deliver strategic opportunities and value,” according to a statement.
