Drivetime Changes @ KBLX/San Francisco

• Bonneville Urban AC KBLX/San Francisco is making some big and positive weekday drivetime changes, effective Monday, April 30: the movement begins with 20-year station vet Antoine Davis (left), who will move up from afternoons into morning drive, joining The Dream Team, featuring Tony Sco & Kimmie Tee. He succeeds Tony Roberts, who exits.

OM/PD Elroy Smith said of Davis, “I’m looking forward to Antoine bringing his topical, local, polished, professional and charismatic personality to our morning show. The Bay Area adores Antoine Davis and this promotion will not be a surprise to his many fans.”

Concurrent with Davis’ move, Smith elevates 10-year KBLX veteran Nikki Thomas (right) from part-time into afternoon drive. “I refer to Nikki as a personality that has the ‘it’ factor,” Smith said. “Her on-air style is heartfelt, relatable, classy, fun and engaging. What makes this transition smooth is to have people on our team who are ready for a major promotion when the opportunity arises. Nikki Thomas is absolutely ready.”

Carl Gardner, VP/Market Manager of Bonneville San Francisco, said, “Nikki and Antoine are true Bay Area radio stars, in the great KBLX tradition. Each is an entertainer with a distinct style, deeply connected to this community. Two more reasons why KBLX is ‘The Soul of the Bay!'”
