Logan Now International Counsel At WMG

• Kate Logan has been promoted to General Counsel, International, for Warner Music Group (WMG). Ms. Logan will now be responsible for all of WMG’s legal and business affairs activities outside the U.S., working closely with the company’s recorded music and publishing affiliates throughout Europe, Asia, Latin America, Eastern Europe, Middle East, and Africa. Logan was most recently SVP of Legal Affairs for WMG, a post she has held since 2013.

Logan is based at the company’s London offices and reports to Paul Robinson, WMG EVP and General Counsel, who commented, “Since joining us five years ago, Kate has done an exceptional job on multiple fronts — becoming a trusted advisor to our international legal & business affairs team and building a reputation in the industry as a talented executive with great energy and integrity. She brings wide-ranging global experience to her new position, combined with a terrific legal mind and impressive managerial expertise and organizational abilities. I’m very happy to announce her well-deserved promotion to this leadership role.”

Logan said, “WMG is a very exciting place to be during this transformational time in the music industry. We’re finding innovative ways to expand global opportunities for our artists and songwriters, while growing our international footprint by entering fresh territories, opening up new licensing avenues, and pioneering digital initiatives. I want to thank Paul for this amazing new opportunity, and my wonderful colleagues for their support.” Logan’s promotion follows the departure of Chris Ancliff, who had served as General Counsel, International since 2009.
