Peters Lovingly Extended At WiLD 94.1/Tampa

• Congrats to Christine Peters, APD/MD of Beasley Rhythmic WLLD (WiLD 94-1)/Tampa, who just voluntarily signed up for more WiLD days ahead, as she and the company have come to terms on a sweet new, multi-year contract.

A quick check of our calendar reveals that 2018 marks Peters’ 14th year in the building and her 10th as WiLD’s Music Director. Peters, affectionately known as “Brewstaaa,” joined WLLD in 2004 as intern for then APD/MD (and current KIIS-FM/Los Angeles APD/MD) Beata Murphy and quickly became an important presence in the hallways. In 2007 she was named Programming Assistant, and added MD stripes two years later. Peters was awarded APD duties in May 2015.

RAMP reached out to Peters’ proud boss, Orlando, PD of WiLD 94.1 and host of Orlando & The Freakshow, who told us, “I’m very proud of Christine. She’s really the epitome of our WiLD ‘get-it-done’ mentality, a state of mind that often dissipates after time. Not with this one — Christine’s a soldier and I’m elated that she’s in our ‘foxhole.'” Peters commented, “I am so happy to continue at WiLD, with the station and family that I love.
