Mike Edwards Headed Home
Looking back on his recent accomplishments, Edwards said, “We transitioned Sunny 103.7 to a Hot AC and passed WGNI in adult female demos. Sunny is now No. 1 Women 25-54 Mon-Fri 6am-7pm in the Fall, and the Spring numbers come out on my last day! I feel good that the station is in a good place — it was a lot of hard work to get it there! We also launched our super Soft AC 95.9 The Breeze (WKXB-HD2) on May 30 and that was fun.”
Edwards has been in the building there since May 2013. He’s a 30-year radio vet whose previous call letters include WWZZ/Washington, KZQZ/San Francisco, WLNK/Charlotte, WKSE/Buffalo and WDCG/Raleigh.
Looking ahead to his new challenge, Edwards told RAMP, “I’m super happy to be coming home and can’t wait to get to work with a new team building a new success story.”
