Short-E, Long Drive
• Longtime Sacramento radio vet Eliseo “Short-E” Cierra trades one coast for another, as he touches down in scenic Ft. Myers, FL as the new Program Director of iHeartMedia Rhythmic WBTT (105.5 The Beat) and Hot AC WZJZ (Y100.1). He succeeds Eric Rosado, who was recently named APD at KUBE/Seattle.
Short-E (left) spent the past 4 1/2 years at Entercom Rhythmic KSFM/Sacramento as MD and afternoon personality until April, when the company dismissed most of the fulltime airstaff. Before that he spent eight years with Entravision Sacramento as MD/air personality with KBMB (103.5 The Bomb) and its more recent version, KHHM (Hot 103.5).
Short-E will also do afternoons on 105.5 The Beat and reports to Louis Kaplan, SVP of Programming for iHeartMedia Fort Myers, who said, “I’m thrilled to welcome Short-E to iHeartMedia Fort Myers. He genuinely understands our market and brings adept format experience and lively energy to our team. He’ll be leading two of our most popular brands — 105.5 The Beat, which has been a huge success for over 15 years, and Y100, the area’s home for the Elvis Duran Show, and I know his vast industry knowledge and creativity will take our stations to even higher levels.”
Short-E exclaimed, “I’m extremely excited to be a part of the winning culture here at iHeartMedia Fort Myers. This is an amazing opportunity to collaborate with some of radio’s most innovative talent. I feel a strong connection to the market and I’m excited to help contribute to each station’s ongoing success.”
