Bubba Exits WRXK/Ft. Myers

• Alert ears in the Ft. Myers, FL area noticed that Bubba The Love Sponge is now M.I.A. from the airwaves — and website — of Beasley Mainstream Rock WRXK (96 K-Rock)/Ft. Myers after ten years. The station is now rolling jockless in morning drive under the positioning statement, “Everything That Rocks.”

The move comes just days after Nielsen and Bubba settled their pending ratings-tampering lawsuit out of court, with Bubba admitting, “I deeply regret interfering with Nielsen’s collection of listening data.” Bubba has also agreed to make an undisclosed payment to Nielsen.

Beasley corporate had “no comment” when contacted by RAMP.
