Truta Takes Command Of KC’s Bridge
• Longtime Kansas City radio vet Bryan Truta has joined Kansas City Public Television-owned Triple A KTBG (90.9 The Bridge) as Sr. Director of Radio Operations and morning host.
Truta has worked in Kansas City radio for over 20 years and was most recently PD/morning host across the street at Steel City Media AC KCKC (KC102.1). As the Kansas City Business Journal reports, KCPT CEO Kliff Kuehl has spent the past few years improving the localization of The Bridge, making it more of an entity in Kansas City, adding more events, local shows and engagement with listeners. Hiring Truta dovetails with this plan.
“We’re looking to involve our listeners more,” Truta said. “Really integrate them with our programming a lot more because they have ideas and thoughts about us.” He added, “I wouldn’t call it a new direction — I would call it an enhancement of the great foundation The Bridge already has.” Truta can now be reached at bryan@bridge909.org.
