Crowley Returns To Upstate New York

• The papers are signed, the ink is dried and former KGON/Portland PD Chris Crowley is packing up his blue Toyota Tacoma and will be headed back to possibly already snowbound Upstate New York as the new Brand Manager for Townsquare Media Country WYRK (Country 106.5)/Buffalo.

This may surprise you, but this ain’t exactly Crowley’s first Country rodeo — in the early ’90s he was APD/MD at KASH/Anchorage, AK, and he later programmed the former KKTT/Eugene, OR before making the jump to the rock side, programming Meridian Classic Rock WARO/Ft. Myers, FL, followed by a seven-year stint with Entercom Classic Rock WCMF/Rochester, NY.

Commenting on his latest radio adventure, Crowley said, “To say I’m excited about getting to work with the talented people at WYRK and Townsquare Media doesn’t quite cover it. I’m super excited. Which is just like regular excited, except I’m wearing a cape while it happens. I have to thank Rob Williams, Kurt Johnson, Doug Montgomery, Mark Plimpton and Bob Richards for believing in me and giving me this tremendous opportunity.” Crowley succeeds Wendy Lynn, who left in July after 12 years.
