Kelly Ford Plays Like A Girl
The Play Like a Girl Honors Gala will be hosted by ESPN’s Cari Champion and will include a cocktail reception and silent auction, with a dinner featuring keynote speaker and Founder’s Award recipient, professional tennis player Madison Keys. Other honorees include Sammie Griffin, Kenisha Rhone, Paula Hood, Kenyatta Bynoe and Bart Brooks.
The mission of Play Like a Girl is to ensure that every girl reaches her full potential by providing girls ages 9-13 an opportunity — and in many cases, their onlychance — to participate in sport and physical activity. Play Like a Girl works to harness the natural properties of sport to propel young women into competitive, male-dominated careers — especially those at the intersection of science, technology, engineering, mathematics (STEM) and sports.
