Columbia Ups Citron & Madden
• Columbia Records announced twin promotions in its Touring and Events Department — Jennifer Citron and Mary Madden have both been upped to Vice President, Touring and Events for Columbia. They report to Ryan Ruden, SVP, Experiential Marketing and Business Development for Columbia, who said, “Jennifer and Mary have proven to be innovative leaders in the tour marketing and live event sectors. I’m excited for them to co-lead new initiatives and strategy around live that drive fan engagement and bring value to our artists. The entire company joins me in congratulating them on their well-deserved promotions.”
Citron (left) has been with Columbia for most of her career and has served as Sr. Director of Touring and Events in 2015. Before that she was Director of Touring and Events. Citron joined Columbia Records in 2007 as Manager of Tour Marketing and Artist Development after working at Sony Music Entertainment as an A&R Coordinator. Madden (right) has served as Director of Touring and Events for Columbia Records since 2016. She was appointed as Manager of Touring and Events in 2008, and five years later was upped to Associate Director of Touring and Events.
Citron said, “I’m grateful to Ron Perry, Stephen Russo, Jenifer Mallory and Ryan Ruden for the opportunity to contribute to this exciting chapter of Columbia Records. I look forward to cultivating event-based marketing efforts while continuing our focus on touring and artist development strategies that deliver success stories for our artists.” Madden thanked the same four people and added, “I’ve been fortunate to work with some of the most inspiring artists at Columbia Records and I look forward to continuing to serve them in the live and event marketing arenas.”
