KVIL Thinks Fast, Acts Quickly
CBS Radio Top 40 KVIL/Dallas makes a change in morning drive — PD Jay Michaels brings in veteran personality Nathan Fast to man the 5:30-10am wake-up shift, starting today. Fast (left) arrives from exotic Southern California, where he most recently did nights on iHeartMedia Top 40 KHTS (Channel 93.3)/San Diego and weekends on KIIS-FM/Los Angeles. His voice was also heard in over 80 markets every week as a contributor on the iHeartRadio Countdown. Fast began his radio career as a part-time overnight jock in Las Vegas and he later did nights at KSAS/Boise, ID. “We are extremely excited to add one of the nation’s top radio talents to the 103.7 on-air team,” said Michaels. “In addition to his amazing personality, Nathan brings extensive knowledge of pop culture as well as expertise in local branding and social media.”
As a result of these changes, KVIL morning co-host Mike Kannon exits after two years. Kannon joined KVIL in March 2015, coming off a three-year run at Cumulus rival KLIF (Hot 93.3). He most notably spent eight years with former Beasley Rhythmic WRDW (Wired 96.5)/Philadelphia. Kannon will continue to host the Saturday and Sunday editions of Open House Party. Existing morning co-host Sybil Summers will remain part of the new morning show with Nathan Fast and will also take over the midday shift that was recently vacated by Leigh Ann Adam.
