• Lots of activity coursing through the hallways and lobby of the Mid-West Family broadcast HQ in Madison, WI — the action begins with Randy Hawke, longtime PD of Active Rock WJJO and Ops Manager of WJJO, Rhythmic WJQM (93.1 Jamz), Sports-Talk WOZN (The Zone), Alternative WRIS (106.7 The Resistance) and Spanish language WLMV (La Movida 94.5 & 1480), who has been elevated to VP of Programming. The promotion comes fully equipped with new PD stripes for AC WMGM (Magic 98), Country WWQM (Q106) and Classic Country WHIT (Hank 1150/97.7).

Needless to say, all these new responsibilities means that Hawke (left) will turn over the PD keys of WJJO to APD/MD Jennifer “Ski” Crowell, who will also assume the title of Asst. Operations Manager for Mid-West Family Madison. Hawke commented, “Ski has played a vital role in the programming and growth of JJO since replacing the legendary Blake Patton. She is perfect for the job and becomes only the third PD in the 21-year history of WJJO.”

Hang on… there’s more — Miranda Daniels has been upped to APD of WRIS, while maintaining her current on-air and promotional role on WJJO. Daniels has been with WJJO for over 10 years and has been involved with The Resistance since its launch. Hawke explained, “Miranda helped us construct the Resistance from the ground up and is ready to take on this role and help us take the critical next steps in the evolution of WRIS.”

And finally… company vet Alexxander “Shady” Erspamer, who has worked for Mid-West Family Broadcasting Madison/South Bend for over six years will now be handling MD duties at WJQM. “Shady started here as a part-timer, moved to our MWF stations in South Bend, IN, working with Bill Gamble on the creation of Live 99.9,” Hawke said. “He has a clear understanding our musical vision for Jamz and is ready to be part of Jamz programming team in his hometown of Madison.”
