• Connoisseur Media Hot AC WALK/Nassau-Suffolk, NY has parted ways with afternoon personality Nick Parker after nearly seven years. No replacement has been named yet by PD Tommy Conway. Parker, a Long Island native, started his radio career at crosstown WBLI in 2005. He later programmed Long Island University’s WCWP from 2006-2010 and did weekends on Z100/New York between 2009-2011.
Parker was doing weekends on WALK under former owner Clear Channel when he was upped to afternoons in May of 2011. Parker is ready to get back at it and can be accessed at ParkerOnTheRadio@gmail.com.
• A man known simply as “Mav3rick” (yes, with a 3) is now a free agent after a brief 2 1/2-month stint as PD of American General Media AC KSTT (Coast 104.5)/San Luis Obispo, CA. Needless to say, Mr. Mav3rick is understandably anxious to put his many programming and on-air skills to work for [your station here].
Prior to his arrival on California’s scenic Central Coast, Mav3rick programmed KWXS (107.7 The Beat) and KMTK (99/7 The Bull)/Bend, OR. His previous programming/on-air stops include KEHK (Star 102.3)/Eugene, OR; KBBY (B95.1), KRUZ, KVYB (103.3 The Vibe) and KFYV (Live 105.5)/Ventura-Santa Barbara, CA and he also did nights on KIMN (Mix 100) and KWOF (92.5 The Wolf)/Denver. Earlier in his career Mav3rick worked at KLCA and KNEV/Reno, and KDON and KCDU (CD93)/Monterey, CA.
