iHeart Ups A.J. To Region SVPP
• iHeartMedia has promoted Chadwick “A.J.” Hausknecht to Region Senior Vice President of Programming for the company’s extensive Virginia-Carolina region, effective immediately. A.J. will now be responsible for all day-to-day programming and digital operations for iHeartMedia Charlotte while also overseeing on-air content, digital strategy, music programming and on-air personalities for the 50+ radio stations in the Virginia-Carolina region. He will continue to program Top 40 WHQC (HITS 96.1) and Adult Hits WLKO (102.9 The Lake)/Charlotte.
A.J. (left) reports to Dave Carwile, Region President for iHeartMedia’s Virginia-Carolina region, who commented, “We are extremely pleased to have A.J. lead as Region Senior Vice President of Programming for the Virginia-Carolina region. Before arriving in Charlotte in January 2018 A.J. was Regional SVP of Programming for iHeartMedia’s St. Louis Region and PD of Top 40 KSLZ (Z107.7) and KATZ (Hallelujah 1600). Prior to that he was SVP of Programming for iHeartMedia Richmond & Norfolk, VA. Earlier in his iHeartMedia career A.J. programmed Top 40 sisters WWHT (Hot 107.9)/Syracuse and Rhythmic WKGS (Kiss 106.7)/Rochester, NY while also supervising WKKF/Albany, WBNW/Binghamton, NY and WJJS/Roanoke, VA. Prior to joining iHeartMedia Syracuse in April of 2012, A.J. spent 13 years at Cumulus Top 40 WBHT/Wilkes Barre-Scranton, PA, rising to PD/afternoons.
