WJBR Welcomes New PD Johnny B.
• John “Johnny B” Baublis is the new PD of Beasley AC WJBR (Mix 99.5)/Wilmington, DE. He succeeds Rich DiSisto, who will remain with the company doing part-time on Classic Rock WMGK/Philadelphia.
Baublis returns to the Delmarva region after a 13-year run as PD and morning talent on Alpha Media’s North Dallas-area Hot AC KLAK/McKinney, TX. Before that he spent 11 years with Delmarva Broadcasting right there in Wilmington.
In making the announcement, Beasley EVP of Programming Justin Chase said, “Johnny’s a programming veteran with years of proven success and past experience in the Wilmington market. Plus, he shares our values of great local radio with an emphasis on serving the community. We’re proud to have someone like Johnny on our team at JBR.” Wilmington VP/Market Manager AJ Lurie commented, “We are thrilled to bring Johnny on board to lead our programming efforts at WJBR. Johnny’s market experience, enthusiasm and competitive drive, is a perfect complement to our already outstanding team. I’m confident he will have an immediate impact in the market.”
