Michelle Stevens Named APD of WCBS, WNEW/NY
• Entercom announced the hire of veteran radio programmer Michelle Stevens as Assistant Program Director for Classic Hits WCBS-FM and Hot AC WNEW (NEW 102.7 FM)/New York, effective today.
“Michelle possesses valuable expertise in programming and talent development, and she will be a much-welcomed asset to our stations,” said Susan Larkin, Regional President and Market Manager, Entercom New York. “She has a stellar track record for developing top-rated brands and we are looking forward to her contributions at two of New York’s most loved stations.”
Stevens (left) most recently served as Director of Brand Management for Connoisseur Media, but she is probably best known for her 25-year run with Nassau Broadcasting Partners, successfully programming heritage Top 40 WPST/Trenton back in the day. She steadily rose up through the Nassau executive ranks, from VP of Programming, to SVP to EVP of Programming in 2000 and a seat on the Nassau Board Of Directors, winning numerous industry awards and accolades along the way.
In 2013, after Nassau’s sale to Connoisseur Media, Stevens remained with the company as VP of Programming, where she was responsible for overseeing programming and strategy of the company’s 38-station group, and was one of the creators of original franchise brands such as federally trademarked “Frank-FM” in Portland, ME, as well as Classic Hits Max-FM in Nassau-Suffolk, Long Island. Throughout her career, Stevens has guided more than 100 stations in over 20 markets, helping teams to achieve consistent top ratings and become market leading revenue producers.
