Opportunity Knox In Knoxville
• Last week we told you Joey Tack had been named as the new Program Director and midday talent for Bonneville International Country KNCI/Sacramento. Tack has spent the past 15 years with SummitMedia Rhythmic WKHT (Hot 104.5)/Knoxville, TN, the last five as PD, and with his new gig starting on July 1, the search for his replacement has begun in earnest. As the colorful brochure reads, “Think of the best place you have ever worked… we are ten times better than that!”
But first, a few routine questions: 1) Do you play well with others? 2) Can you think outside the box? 3) Are you a team player? 4) Do you have the ability to coach and motivate talent? SummitMedia is seeking someone who is creative, a strategic thinker and a problem-solver who has leadership skills, strong on-air work and the ability to connect to a young adult audience and be local-centric. You must understand and be at ease with the social media aspects of the job and be able to effectively promote on social media platforms. Knowledge of Music Master, digital editing, Wide Orbit, etc. preferred.
A minimum of three years of programming experience is required, as well as a track record of strategic thinking in a competitive market. Applicants must also demonstrate the ability to execute a live, entertaining on-air show — all while keeping the radio station strategically focused and performing at a high level.
SummitMedia Knoxville is a dynamic, fast-moving organization — we love what we do, and we are seeking someone who can keep up with our pace. OM Kevin “Gravy” Canup exclaims, “I want your stuff right away! Email your resume and aircheck to gravy@summitmediacorp.com with ‘Hot 104.5 Job’ in the subject line. I’m currently refreshing my email constantly waiting for your package!” SummitMedia, LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
