Remembering Lisa Mason
• The SummitMedia radio family is heartbroken to share the news that Lisa Mason, award-winning morning show personality on Classic Rock WBPT (106.9 The Eagle)/Birmingham, AL, passed away on Wednesday, July 10 due to health complications.
Mason was a longtime Birmingham radio pro and spent over 17 years as an on-air personality in the market. She not only served her community on-air with entertainment and news but also hosted and worked countless community events including “Do Dah Day,” local town festivals, Toys for Tots events, tornado relief drives, annual Boo Halloween Party, and so much more.
A statement posted on The Eagle website said, “Lisa Mason and her commitment to the station, community, and her listeners will be dearly missed. While we mourn the loss of a very special woman, we also celebrate her remarkable life and hope that it serves as an example to young and old alike.”

Mason is survived by her loving fiancée, Adam and her beloved dog, Hera.
