Zeb’s The One At 101 The One
• We are sending our best wishes to Zeb Norris, the longtime “Triple A Radio Governor of Vermont,” who has joined Radio Vermont Group as PD of Classic Hits WCVT (101 The One), licensed to Stowe, VT and serving the Burlington, VT-Plattsburg, NY region. He succeeds Frankie Allen, who has transitioned into the sales department.
Norris (pictured), famously spent the past 13 years with Northwest Digital and Wireless Triple A WNCS (The Point)/Burlington, VT until last month. He had relinquished his programming duties in March 2018 to focus on mornings. Earlier in his lengthy career Norris also worked in Albany, NY, Sacramento, Seattle, San Jose, Salt Lake City and San Francisco.
“We got lucky,” said Steve Cormier, GM of Radio Vermont Group. “With longtime PD Frankie Allen moving to the sales side, we needed someone now… and there was Zeb. He brings more than just being a Program Director, which will help the overall group.”
Norris commented, “As part of the Radio Vermont Group, 101 the One is sister station to the legendary WDEV, a locally owned Full Service institution since 1931. Their commitment to local broadcasting as a community service in addition to entertainment is unsurpassed. The One is a Classic Hits with real depth, and I couldn’t be happier to join Steve Cormier’s team.” Norris will assume an airshift TBA.
