Markets Generally Managed
• After several months as interim GM for Scripps’ ABC affiliate KGUN-TV and CW affiliate KWBA-TV/Tucson, Leon Clark has been formally named permanent VP/GM for both stations. During this interim television assignment, Clark (left) has continued to lead the Scripps’ Tucson radio cluster — AC KMXZ (94.9 MIXfm), FM News-Talk KQTH, Rhythmic Oldies KTGV (106.3 The Groove) and ESPN affiliate KFFN — which he will continue to do until his radio replacement is named.
Steve Wexler, VP of Scripps’ radio division remarked, “Leon built quite a radio team in Tucson, and now he’ll expand his influence with that same hands-on, transparent approach for KGUN and KWBA. He’s well respected and has an incredible instinct for identifying great potential in employees. His knowledge of Tucson and his established relationships in the community are a testament to the commitment he has made in that important market.” Prior to his arrival in Tucson in 2014, Clark launched the sales operations on the West Coast for audio streaming network TuneIn. He previously served in management roles for CBS Radio Atlanta, Emmis, Air America and Radio One.

Earlier in his career Pollnow was also GM for Clear Channel Radio in Little Rock, AR and for Cumulus Media in Topeka, KS, from 1999-2004.
Cumulus RVP Mark Sullivan said, “I’m excited about the experience and track record of success that Don brings to us in Green Bay. It’s great to have him back in the Cumulus family.” Pollnow commented, “I’m fortunate to have the chance work with the talented programming staff and great sellers with Cumulus in Green Bay. I’m thrilled to be back in Wisconsin and working with Cumulus again.”
