Lane Catches Primary Wave

Music industry pro Ken Lane is joining Primary Wave Entertainment as a partner focusing on talent management via a joint venture with his company, Right Lane Management, LLC. Lane will bring in his own clients under the Right Lane Management, LLC umbrella and will also bring his vast experience and knowledge of the music industry to help widen Primary Wave’s impressive roster of artists. He will be based in the company’s NYC office. “I’m excited to have Ken join the team here at Primary Wave Entertainment,” said Larry Mestel, co-CEO of Primary Wave Entertainment. “Ken and I have known each other a long time and his vast industry and artist relationships will be an immense asset to our company. Ken is one of the truly great people in the music business.”

A 25-year veteran of the entertainment business, Lane got his big break in the promotions department at Z100/New York in the ’80s. He later transitioned into record promotion, beginning at Chrysalis Records, before moving on to SBK/EMI Records Group, Jive, Arista, Island Def Jam Music Group and Atlantic Records. Lane most recently worked at SiriusXM where he was instrumental in creating such exclusive programming as Train Tracks with Pat Monahan from Train and Melissa’s Basement with Melissa Etheridge.
