AccuWeather Installed On RADIO.COM
• Entercom announced a digital content integration with AccuWeather. The AccuWeather widget will be integrated across all of the company’s RADIO.COM station websites, providing hyper-localized forecasts for users accessing RADIO.COM content. The widget will provide current temperature, precipitation, and high and low temperatures in an easy to interpret design and will direct users to the AccuWeather website for more detailed and extensive forecasts.
“This new integration adds real value for our users and we are pleased to team up with AccuWeather, the leaders in the weather information space, to further personalize their experience on RADIO.COM,” said Pam Russo, SVP/GM of RADIO.COM. “Our listeners trust and recognize AccuWeather’s unparalleled weather reports from our on-air programming, and we’re excited to now make this content available to them online.”
Kurt Fulepp, Chief Product Officer, AccuWeather, commented, “We are very excited to be making AccuWeather’s local forecasts more accessible to more people through this partnership. As the leading provider of hyperlocal weather forecasts, AccuWeather is an ideal partner to support Entercom’s emphasis on delivering the most locally relevant content to their audience.”
This Entercom-AccuWeather alliance continues an ongoing relationship — for more than 20 years, many Entercom News-Talk stations, including 1010 WINS/New York, WWJ (News Radio 950)/Detroit, KDKA (News Radio 1020)/Pittsburgh and KMOX (News Radio 1120)/St. Louis have featured AccuWeather forecasts as part of their programming.
