Valliere Upped To PD @ KZIA/Cedar Rapids
• Jenny Valliere continues her rapid ascent up through the ranks at KZIA, Inc. Top 40 KZIA (Z102.9)/Cedar Rapids, IA, as she is formally promoted to Program Director.
Ms. Valliere is a Cedar Rapids native (and 2017 Miss Iowa USA) who has been with Z102.9 since 2012 — she started on the overnight show and moved up to afternoon drive two years later. Last June she was promoted again and awarded APD/MD stripes.
“Jenny is one of the hardest working people in our market,” said Chris Jackson, VP of Programming for KZIA, Inc. “She’s a great leader, has a strong passion for radio and sets the example of what it’s like to be a radio star.”
Valliere exclaimed, “What a way to finish the decade! I could not be more grateful to take on this new role. This position means so much to me as a woman in the radio industry. I get to show my community what women are capable of. I’ve listened to this station ever since I can remember, and now I get to help contribute to its success.
