Jayn Named Music Supervisor For Alice & ALT/SF
• Entercom just announced the promotion of Jayn to the newly created role of Music Supervisor for Hot AC KLLC (Alice @ 97.3) and Alternative KITS (ALT 105.3)/San Francisco. She will retain her longtime existing role as Assistant Program Director and afternoon drive personality for Alice @ 97.3.
In making the announcement of Jayn’s elevation, Greg Nemitz, SVP/Market Manager, Entercom San Francisco, said, “Besides being the musical muse behind Alice for the past 16 years, Jayn has been an integral part of the ALT 105.3 music team alongside [APD/MD] Aaron Axelsen. Jayn and Aaron together are an unstoppable force and will continue to make these two stations leaders in this market.” Axelsen will remain APD/MD of ALT 105.3.
Jayn remarked, “The words ‘dream job’ are overused, but when they truly apply, you need to use them again. To work for Michael Martin [SVP of Programming & Music Initiatives, Entercom] this last decade-plus at KLLC, and now with him at KITS as well, alongside the iconic Aaron Axelsen, is truly my dream job. I’m endlessly grateful to Michael, Aaron, Greg Nemitz and Entercom.”
Jayn joined Alice @ 97.3 in 2004 as APD/MD. She took over the midday show in 2006 and transitioned to afternoon drive in 2014. Prior to her arrival in San Francisco, Jayn spent eight years with Alternative sister KNRK/Portland, OR as APD/MD and midday personality. Earlier stops include KRZQ/Reno, NV and KEDJ/Phoenix. Jayn began her career writing news for radio as a summer intern in the gallery of the House of Representatives.
