John Shomby Exits Cumulus Media

RAMP has confirmed that John Shomby has exited his dual role as Cumulus Media’s Director of NASH Programming and PD of WKDF (NASH FM 103.3)/Nashville after four years. We understand that an announcement is forthcoming from Cumulus.

Shomby, who current serves as Vice President of the CRS, arrived at the company’s NASH Campus in Nashville in Feb. 2016 in the newly created role of Director of NASH Programming. A year later he annexed PD duties for WKDF.

Prior to his Nashville move, Shomby spent 13 years as Director of Programming for Max Media’s five-station cluster in Norfolk/Virginia Beach, including Country WGH-FM. During an earlier run with Cumulus he served as OM of Cumulus stations in Augusta, GA, Flint and Kalamazoo, MI. Over the course of his long career Shomby has also programmed stations in Birmingham, AL, Portland, OR, New Orleans, Dallas and Boston across a wide variety of formats.

Shomby can now be reached at johnshomby@gmail.com.
